Braised Cabbage

This is a good simple side dish, tasty and easy to make at home.
SIDE DISH
Ingredients-
YIELD- 4 People
1 large white cabbage
6 cloves of garlic, lightly crushed
250 ml chicken stock
Worcestershire sauce
Oyster sauce
soy sauce
fresh chili
100g butter
50 ml olive oil
Lemon Zest
4 Ripe fresh tomatoes
METHOD-
Cut the cabbage into 4 pieces keeping the core intact
Peel off loose excess leaves. and wash lightly.
Using a non stick pan, saute the garlic in the oil, get the pan hot but not smoking, add the cabbage pieces, and cook on both flat sides until golden, Once they are golden add the butter and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Now add soy sauce oyster sauce and Worcestershire, and cook for 2 minutes.
Finally add the chili and chicken stock and cook until a la dente,
Dont add all the stock at once as you may not need it all, you are simply adding flavor not making a sauce.
Check the seasoning, add lemon zest and black pepper.
Serve as a side dish with any meal.
